Värmlandstrafik uppgraderar30 June, 2015
Värmlandstrafik order a major upgrade of its existing system solution for Internet onboard. The new system means that several parallel mobile data connections are simultaneous used, an on-board computer to be installed for including dynamic load sharing of data traffic over the available data links. Faster WiFi APs are also installed in all train cars.
Our client Värmlandstrafik is upgrading all existing WiFi installations on board its trains. The goal is to meet the new demands on stable and fast WiFi on-board demand from travelers. After completion of the project these vehicles will be equipped to handle more WiFi-connected travelers and also ready for new digital services.
Oxyfi’s comission includes, in addition to upgrading the system on-board, the installation and continued ongoing operations and monitoring. Värmandstrafik also supplies oxConnect another system supplier with “train number-tagged GPS data” sign control each second.
