Vy Tåg selects Oxyfi15 October, 2021
Vy Tåg has selcted Oxyfi as its supplier for 25 train carriages for Nattåget Norrland.
Oxyfi has today signed an agreement with the train operator Vy Tåg Sverige to install our latest communication gateway in 25 lying and sleeping carriages. The purpose of the project is to offer passengers a complete and modern travel experience where robust WiFi with high performance is of course included.
The solution consists of Oxyfi’s patented antenna-beam for external roof mounting on rail vehicles, our new communication gateway for internet connectivity and fast WiFi-APs with dual radios.
The solution also includes Oxyfi’s unique technology for aggregation of multiple mobile connections, a proven and absolutely necessary network solution to obtain a robust internet connection with high performance on all types of fast-moving vehicles.
Oxyfi’s new generation communication gateway is based on an Intel® Core ™ i7 platform which in this project is equipped with two 5G chipsets for mobile wireless connectivity. The new gateway also offers four Gbit LAN ports with PoE and M12 connectors. It of course meets all the necessary standards for equipment on rail vehicles such as EN 50155 and EN 45545. The new gateway runs our own Linux distribution based on Yocto.
We warmly welcome Vy Tåg as a customer to Oxyfi.
