Agile Product Owner

We develop, deliver, and operate an innovative, robust platform along with essential applications for passenger trains. Our solutions provide onboard services for passengers, staff and systems, as well as vital services to train operators and public transport authorities.

Our services encompass the entire product life-cycle including planning, risk assessment, integration and installation of high-end onboard hardware, comprehensive proactive monitoring, maintenance, regular software updates, and continuous cyber security measures.

Running robust services on trains presents serious challenges. Over the years we have navigated many of those challenges, and we understand what needs to be done, we have the knowledge, the concepts, and proven field experience. Now the time has come to scale up both our services and our installed base.

To achieve this, we seek to complement our highly skilled team with a dynamic and experienced Agile Product Owner. In this role, you will take ownership of our agile development process and streamline it. You will participate in shaping our strategy and roadmap. You will engage closely with our stakeholders, management and strategic plan to gather and prioritize requirements, create epics and user-stories, and drive those through our cross-disciplinary development team to produce outstanding value for our stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the Agile Development Process: streamline, run and continuously improve our agile development process
  • Keep a clear understanding of our product vision and what we aim to achieve with our services
  • Close communication with stakeholders, management, and development team
  • Oversee all of our services and their entire life-cycles
  • Identify and manage requirements from stakeholders and strategic business plan
  • Prioritize requirements and adapt to change, both internal and external
  • Break down requirements into epics and user stories
  • Maintain a structured, relevant, and well-organized backlog
  • Motivating and driving team members to achieve rapid progress while maintaining a healthy work-life balance

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner in an agile environment
  • Strong understanding of agile principles and methodologies
  • Strong technical background with ability to drive discussions with both tech- and business-teams
  • Experience in leading a team
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Fluent in English, basic Swedish
  • Proficiency in using agile tools such as Jira or similar
  • Experience in managing business/product roles and a solid understanding of stakeholder value
  • Business acumen and interest in business strategies
  • Relevant certifications are a plus
